Ingredients
  

  • 100 gram 100 g dried fish (shutki) Choose dried shrimp or loitta shutki for the best flavor.
  • 2 medium onions, finely chopped
  • 3/4 unit green chilies, chopped (adjust to taste)
  • 2/3 unit 2-3 garlic cloves, mashed or finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp mustard oil
  • Fresh coriander leaves
  • Salt to taste

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Dried Fish
    Rinse the dried fish thoroughly under running water to remove impurities and excess salt.Heat a pan and roast the dried fish over medium heat for 4-5 minutes until aromatic. Alternatively, fry it lightly in mustard oil. Set aside to cool.
  • Mash the Ingredients
    Once cooled, mash the roasted dried fish using a mortar and pestle or blend it into a coarse paste.Add the finely chopped onions, green chilies, mashed garlic, and salt. Mix or mash thoroughly until combined.
  • Add Mustard Oil
    Drizzle the mustard oil over the mashed mixture and mix well. The mustard oil enhances the authentic Bangladeshi flavor.
  • Garnish and Serve
    Garnish the Shutki Bharta with freshly chopped coriander leaves.Serve immediately with steaming hot plain rice for the ultimate Bangladeshi meal.
